NICE TO SEE YOU, TO SEE YOU, ANAIS!

It's a girl for [a]Oasis[/a] mainman...

NOEL GALLAGHER'S wife MEG has given birth to a baby daughter, named ANAIS after famous Modernist author ANAIS NIN.

The baby was born naturally at 1pm this afternoon weighing 7lbs 2oz at a private London hospital.

A spokesperson for Oasis told nme.com that Noel was "delighted" and that both the baby and Meg were doing well.

She said that Meg was rushed into hospital at 8am and went into labour a couple of hours later.

It's not known whether or not its Noel or Meg who decided on the name, which could hint at hitherto unknown literary depths in the Oasis songwriter.

Nin wrote early feminist work 'The Delta Of Venus' but was probably most famous for her diaries and the erotic letters she wrote to her lover, author Henry Miller.
