Noel Gallagher's press conference in which he launched his solo career is now available to watch, in full, on NME.COM – click above to watch the whole event.

The guitarist announced yesterday (July 6) that he will be releasing two solo albums, the first of which is titled 'Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds' and will be released on October 17.

He also confirmed he would be touring around the time of the album's release and playing Oasis songs as part of the live set. The tour will take place in a host of small theatres, with dates booked for Dublin, London, Glasgow and Manchester.

Gallagher also went into detail about the night in Paris in 2009 that led to Oasis calling it quits, including how his brother Liam "nearly took his face off" with a guitar and how an advert for Pretty Green almost led to a fist fight.
