Video: Noel Gallagher At The NME Awards - A Godlike Genius Speaks

Video footage has emerged of Noel Gallagher with his Manchester City hero Mario Balotelli.

Clips of the NME Godlike Genius Award winner and the striker have been posted up by the football club from a behind the scenes BBC Football Focus interview - scroll down and click below to view it.

In the clip Gallagher says:

It's nice to finally meet you. I've seen you on the tele[vision] doing mad stuff.

He adds: "Even if half the stuff's not true, we want it to be true though because it's great, it's mega."

The footage also sees Gallagher watching his team on the training ground and playing darts with Football Focus presenter Dan Walker.

Earlier, this week the former Oasis chief also told NME that he thinks Balotelli should win the Godlike Genius award.

He said: "There's absolutely no question that he should get it. He's cosmic soul brother number one."

You can watch a video of Gallagher talking about his gong at the NME Awards by scrolling up and clicking above.

He also recently told NME: "OK he's a footballer, but I bet if he picked up an instrument he'd be fucking amazing. He restores your faith in human nature! I'm so proud he's playing for Manchester City."

Don't forget to tune into Channel 4 at 11.55pm (GMT) tonight (March 3) to catch the full NME Awards ceremony.
