Noel Gallagher has revealed that Hollywood actress Katie Holmes didn't take too kindly to be being filmed by one of his entourage.

The guitarist, who is currently promoting his debut solo album 'Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds' across North America, bumped into the actress on his way to film an appearance on US chat show The Late Show With David Letterman and captured the meeting on film, only for the actress to demand that he delete the footage.

Gallagher detailed the encounter on his blog at his official website Noelgallagher.com: "We literally bumped into that top Scientologist Katie Holmes on the way into the studio. We came out of the lift and bang, there she was."

"Now at this point my mate Scully was doing a bit of filming for my website and managed to capture the moment. She did look a bit miffed at the various North-West accents and some vigorous handshaking, but there was no need to send one of her people over to demand the video be deleted! Un-fuckin'-believable."

Noel Gallagher released his debut record last month and is currently touring in support of it. He will play a UK arena tour in February.
