OASIS, Bloc Party, BECK and WEEZER will top the bill at LOS ANGELES radio station KROQ’s INLAND INVASION concert this September.
Garbage, Duran Duran, Hot Hot Heat, The Arcade Fire and Franz Ferdinand are also booked for the event, which takes place on September 17 at the Hyundai Pavilion in Glen Helen.
Past Inland Invasions have had a ‘Flashback To The Future’ theme with a host of artists like Madness, Devo, Bow Wow Wow, The Bravery, The Cure, Berlin and Siouxsie And The Banshees hailing from past eras interspliced amongst new acts like Muse[/url], Bloc Party and [/a]. This year’s event represents a thoroughly modern line-up though, with just [a]Franz Ferdinand hailing from KROQ’s early ‘80s playlist.
Earlier this summer KROQ hosted the first pairing of rivals [/a] and [a] on the same bill since their war of words began back in March.
Inland Invasion will follow the trend, hosting Oasis and Duran Duran, who have exchanged words in the press.
Tickets for the event go on sale Saturday.
