Oasis and Kasabian to team-up
Night on the booze leads to collaboration plans
The bands, who are currently touring America together, have discussed working on some songs, though Oasis leader Noel Gallagher admitted that might have been the beer talking.
"A lot of things are said in dressing rooms at 4 o'clock in the morning when you're drunk," Gallagher told MTV. "We're talking about doing some stuff with them, but I don't know that anything will come of that."
However the sobered-up, the guitarist added in the cold light of day he still hoped the two bands would link-up.
"They are more than welcome in my studio, and there's a chance I might be doing some songs,” said Gallagher. “I hope it does [happen] — it will be great."
As previously reported on NME.COM, Kasabian plan to enter the studio on their return from the tour with Oasis, something guitarist Serge Pizzorno says his band are really looking forward to.
“It’s nice to just sit in a studio and start crafting and working things out,” he explained. “We are so full of ideas – ‘difficult second album’ has even entered our heads.”
