Oasis are set to release a brand new single in three weeks' time.

The band will put out their first ever digital-only release ’Lord Don’t Slow Me Down’ on October 21.

The song is the title track from the band’s on the road documentary of the same name, which follows Oasis on their 2005/6 world tour.

The track is available via Oasisinet.com and comes in a digital bundle including two live tracks from the group’s City Of Manchester Stadium shows in 2005, 'Don't Look Back In Anger' and 'The Meaning Of Soul', the latter of which is available immediately.

A video for the song will premiere on Youtube next week (October 1), the same day the song will be first played on radio.

Speaking about the track Noel Gallagher declared that "somewhat predictably it's brilliant".

Meanwhile, the DVD of the 'Lord Don't Slow Me Down' film will be released on October 29.

For more exclusive information on Oasis’ single release get this week’s issue of NME, on newsstands from September 26.

Guitarist Noel Gallagher also turns DJ tonight (September 24), taking to the air on Radio 1 from 9pm.

Also guitarist Noel Gallagher is also celebrating the birth of his son, who was born at the weekend (September 22).
