Oasis, STEREOPHONICS, Primal Scream, FOO FIGHTERS, PAUL WELLER, BECK and ASIAN DUB FOUNDATION have been confirmed as main stage acts for the GLASGOW GREEN FESTIVAL IN THE CITY on August 26-27, nme.com can reveal.
A sister event to the Carling Weekend Festivals in Reading and Leeds, Glasgow Green will also feature a Radio One tent, a dance tent and a new band tent.
Headlining Friday night will be Stereophonics, with support from Paul Weller and Beck, while Oasis headline Saturday night with support from Primal Scream, Foo Fighters and Asian Dub Foundation.
More acts will be announced over the coming weeks by co-promoters Regular Music and Mean Fiddler.
Event spokesperson Fraser Smith told nme.com: "We've got none of the problems of other festivals. We're on a historic site in the city centre of Glasgow within 15 minutes of the train and bus stations."
