Oasis to get Lifetime Achievement award

Oasis are set to be awarded a Lifetime Achievement award at the forthcoming Silver Clef music awards in London on July 4.

Previous winners of the award include U2 and Paul Weller. The award ceremony will be held in the Park Lane Hilton, and will raise money for music therapy charity Nordoff-Robbins.

Other awards set to be given out at the ceremony include gongs for Best British Band, Best International Act and the Icon Award .
