Oasis to announce UK tour and premiere single tomorrow (August 15)

As band unveil new track, NME.COM will bring you the live dates

Oasis are set to announce details of a full UK tour tomorrow morning (August 15).

The band are set to make their return tomorrow by premiering comeback single 'The Shock Of The Lightning', and then will confirm their touring plans.

NME.COM will have news of the tour first, so make sure you're back here to get all the details.

The single – released on September 29 – will get its global first play on radio at 8am (BST) after which the song will feature on NME Radio, so you can check it out all day.

The single itself will feature Oasis' first ever official remix after Noel Gallagher and co allowed The Chemical Brothers the tinker with album track 'Falling Down' – both the remix and a clean version of the track have appeared on online previously.

The band's seventh album 'Dig Out Your Soul' is released on October 6.

So is Oasis' 'Shock Of The Lightning' any good?. Got to the NME blog now to check out what our reviewers made of Oasis' comeback.

They better not be playing outdoor stadiums again this time. Last time I saw them at City's ground in Manchester it was utter wank. They should play somewhere like The Apollo or other more intimate venues where the sound doesn't get lost.

Really looking forward to the new record. Got tix to see them at Toronto V Festival and hope they are back on form. As the last two times they played TO they were under par. Atleast at V Fest Paul Weller and Stereophonics are on the bill too. So Oasis have to step it up a gear when they have to headline such a good line up. Nevertheless they will never be as good as when I saw them in 1994 at Wolverhampton Civic Hall, Derby Warehouse, Nottingham Rock City and Glastonbury. That was a great time to be young!!!!!!ExPat Oasis Fan.
