Oasis: 'We thought Noel Gallagher had been stabbed in Toronto'

Oasis' Liam and Noel Gallagher have revealed that they initially thought that Noel had been stabbed when he was attacked onstage in Toronto recently.

Noel Gallagher was attacked while Oasis headlined the V Festival in the Canadian city on September 7. He suffered three broken ribs, causing the band to cancel a slew of gigs.

Liam and Noel have since explained that in the confusion they feared the guitarist had been knifed.

"I thought he (Noel) had been stabbed," Liam told MTV2 Gonzo. "It was fucking dark, but it could've been a lot worse, that's the way I look at it. The guy's gonna get dealt with."

Noel added: "'Cos it had been raining and there were puddles around I thought I'd been stabbed. For a split second I shit it."

it had stopped raining shortly after noon that day. there had already been a half dozen bands who had played on that stage already. i can't imagine it being wet, especially for the headliners.

I thought oasis were supposed to be hard?? Didn't they fight some german gangsters once?Some 47 year old guy called Daniel pushed noel over, liam tried to slap him, and then all you hear is traumatised victim soundbites for two weeks? Come on man, you got a record coming out or something? Cue the violins, the croaky voice, the darkened room and cries of 'i thought it was the end' and 'i'm lucky to be alive'.... in fact noel, get yo ass on GMTV!

For once im gonna side with noel on this....should a musician have his ribs broken while playing to his fans?....im sure he will get over it but i think ANYONE would be a bit traumatised at being attacked by someone when surely being among supporters you should feel safe?..if i saw someone attack will sergeant i would personally fuck him up!...get behind your band so called oasis fans...
