New Oasis album to be released via 'Guitar Hero' game

You can shred along with 'Dig Out Your Soul'

Oasis' new album 'Dig Out Your Soul' will be available as a download for the latest version of the 'Guitar Hero' video game, it was announced today (October 17).

The band's seventh album, which debuted at Number Five on the US Billboard chart this week, will be available via 'Guitar Hero World Tour in 2009.

In the meantime, an Oasis track pack featuring 'The Shock Of The Lighting', 'Bag It Up' and 'Waiting For The Rapture' can be downloaded beginning November 6 for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.

The tracks will also be made available as individually downloadable songs.

'Guitar Hero World Tour' hits US stores on October 26.

To be fair, you could play Falling Down, Im Outta Time and The Shock Of Lightening (and some others) after about a month of playing guitar. I don't see why people don't just learn the real thing. At least for music like this. Sure for more complex rhymth guitar stuff GH makes you look cooler faster. But nothing beats the real thing, or an oasis song on acoustic.
