Oasis' Liam Gallagher starts fashion label

Singer is designing for new clothing line called Pretty Green

Oasis' Liam Gallagher is launching a clothing line.

The singer has unveiled his fashion plans on the website of his new label Pretty Green, named after a song by The Jam.

"The reason I'm doing it is I like clothes. We're going to do clothes I like, if people like it cool if they don't, they don't!," declared the singer in a video interview on Prettygreen.com

He added: "If you're going to do it, you've got to get involved and I'm looking forward to it, and I think it's going to be good."

No designs have been revealed yet, but the label states that: "Pretty Green is an up-front, straight talking, classic clothing range owned, founded and designed by Liam Gallagher. The Pretty Green team is made up of key industry professionals.

"The clothing range, which is entirely 'limited edition', will include classic designs across footwear, denim, knitwear, jackets, trench coats, parkas, T-shirts, hats, scarves and accessories; all subject to Liam's final approval."

Which other artists should launch clothing ranges? Have your say on the Video Blog.

hahahahaha!! Atleast Noel is going to try and release some music on his own. But liam has realised he is a nobody without oasis, and has decided to release a clothing line? God help us..... I bet TOMQ84 and all those other mancs are jumping for joy about this??? We all get to look like liam.... Yay!

Oh God! Now all those little jerk-offs with their barely concealed homoerotic fanatasies for Liam are going to get even worse. Here's a fashion tip for you- Having stupid sideburns, walking around with your hands behind your back and wearing sunglasses and/or a parka indoors does NOT make you look cool. It makes you look like a jackass (unless you are actually Liam Gallagher).

And obviously, these items will be sold at a bargain basement price as Liam doesn't really need the extra cash. No? thought not. It's funny really, we are going through a period of financial crisis where independant businesses and cottage industries that people have toiled, put their heart and soul into and shed blood, sweat and tears to make work are folding every day, their hard work and passion going up the wall and into another file on the administrators' desk. Yet fat bloated rock stars can simply clasp their hands together over breakfast and go 'I want - give me' and hey presto, their very own vanity trip endeavour to play with as much or little as they want. Genius!Kids, don't buy into this, for a start there are enough Liam clones walking around without the Oasis corporation encouraging the creation of an army of plasic indie Stepford Wives. But if you really really want to dress like himself, buy your stuff at a local independent boutique or stall and support those who need your custom. Disgraceful! Practice singing, turn up to recording sessions and get off your high commercial horse Liam . Share the wealth, don't encourage the greed. fnord.

TimesUp you really are a sad little boy, you go on about how much you hate Oasis, but every single story about them you make a comment on, is this because the shit you listen to does even warrant a mention on NME, I feel so sorry for you. Just out of interest who do you actually like?Slip Kid, are you friends with Bono and Chris Martin, as those comment are right out of their book, You'll be telling people to give away all their money next to charity and to help keep trade fair. You can hardly blame the economic crisis on Liam Gallagher now can you?WolfAmoungWolves judging by your comments you sound like a very bitter Yank or a Yank Wanna be (dont no which is worse) whats the matter no new stories about Fall Out Boy.

@TOMQ84 - You want to know what bands i like? ok, here's one or two -Radiohead and Muse. But i know for a fact that you hate these bands!!! As you have always slagged them off at any oppourtunity you can, while trying to justify why Oasis are apparently the best band in your little world. I dont expect you to like the same bands as i do.... Since you clearly only have a hard-on for bands from Manchester!! Also you said that im the sad little boy? Who is the idiot, that also slags of off people for being a different social class? (Middle class toffs)!! i believe are your words... Your the one who needs to grow up! If anyone needs to be felt sorry for, its you....

TOMQ84 - charity begins at home mate! Think you've missed my point - Bono, Chris Martin and Oasis are bang in the same league - alright, Oasis might not go on about charity (which is refreshing for aged rock stars) but like CM and B they're only happy to take as much money off you as possible and give very, very, very little in return. If you want to be a sucker for the mass commercialisation and consumerist attitude taking over the music industry then go ahead, its not my wasted money is it? Basically, I'm just sick of this rush to sign on the dotted line by every f**king idiot who sniffs a bit of (usually unnecessary) extra money by putting their name on something regardless of integrity or dignity. See also - Duffy advertising Diet Coke - really defeats the effort of her Rough Trade number 1.Go check out Bill Hicks thoughts on rock stars endorsing products and you'll get where I'm coming from, fool!

As it happens, I'm neither a "yank" or a "yank wannabe"... But, if I was forced to, I would much rather spend my entire life wanting to be like Bob Dylan, Robert DeNiro, Kurt Cobain, Brian Wilson, Martin Scorcese or Stephen Malkmus (to name just a few) than I would 5 minutes wanting to be like Liam sodding Gallagher.

I must admit I side with TOMQ84 a bit, I cant quite understand if you hate a band/artist so much, why you read articles abou them? I never see a feature on NME about The Feeling and think God I'll give that a read!!!As For WolfAmoungWolves wanting to be like the American icons, they are all great but three words on De Niro, Rocky & Bulwinkel!! I mean you gota be kidding me, the guy was a legend and then he sold out, big time, a method actor that does so many films now I dont knwo how he researches them, meet the fockers anyone!!! We are getting away from teh pint though, Liam can be a bit of a knob but he is indeering and quite funny, Oasis have had there time, they are our Rolling Stones but didnt turn out to be our Beatles or Jam or Smiths or Stone Roses that they are such fans off. But they still sell out just liek The Stones and they will go down as legends, but as Neil Young once said, he didnt know the man who wrote Mr Soul or Old Man as he is different now, just like Noel is different to the man who wrote Definatley or Morning Glory. I do agree with Slip Kid though about Duffy, I mean, one album and shes promoting Diet Coke, that is a sell out but its not as though Liam is advertising Coco Pops, he has at least got his own label, no different to him startig up a shoe repair business really is it???? Good name for the label though, what a Jam song!!
