Liam Gallagher has revealed who his current favourite bands are.

Speaking in a YouTube video via his Pretty Green website, which you can watch below, Gallagher responds to a fan question about who he's been listening to recently.

"Right, there's a band called Freepeace that are cool," he answers, adding "I think they sound like late-Beatles, to be honest."

Fronted by Scouse legend Edgar 'Jones' Jones (whose solo output has also been praised by Noel Gallagher), Freepeace also feature one-time La's drummer Nick Miniski.

Gallagher also bigs up Oldham band Twisted Wheel ("They sound like The Jam and The Damned," he says) in the video, along with Kasabian.

The black-and-white clip sees him wearing a hat emblazoned with the Pretty Green logo. As previously reported, Gallagher's clothing label is due to launch its first range in June.

With the South African leg of Oasis' current world tour now completed, Gallagher updated his Twitter page, informing fans that he's currently taking time out by going on a safari.

However, his latest Tweet suggests that the holiday isn't going too well.

"In the pool, a kid just jumped on me head, had to have a word…," Gallagher wrote.
