Oasis recruit Sheffield artist for collectable Wembley Stadium posters

Gallaghers enlist Pete McKee to make one-off design

Oasis have recruited Sheffield artist Pete McKee to create a one-off poster design to mark their shows at London's Wembley Stadium, set for tonight (July 9), Saturday (11) and Sunday (12).

The poster (pictured) features cartoon depictions of Oasis fans, including one female fan with a tattoo bearing the band's name.

"I have worked with Oasis on a few projects over the last couple of years," explained McKee. "It was great to be asked to design these posters; these are huge shows from one of our country's great bands, and need to be documented."

Copies of the poster are set to be sold at the Wembley gigs. 100 limited edition prints of the poster, signed by McKee, will be available to buy from the artist's website, Therealmckee.co.uk.

Loathe to bring up the Blur v Oasis debate, but is this not reminiscent of Gorillaz visual identity???
