Oasis have pulled out of their second festival appearance in a row tonight (August 28).

The band were due to play at the Paris Rock en Seine festival but did not take to the stage as planned.

According to eyewitnesses in the crowd, a message appeared on the festival's big screens saying the performance had been cancelled due to an "altercation".

Scottish singer Amy MacDonald, who also played the event, claimed via Twitter the band "cancelled again with one minute to stage time!!! Liam smashed Noel's guitar, huuuge fight!"

It is understood that Madness took their place.

Oasis cancelled their headline appearance at V Festival in Chelmsford last weekend (August 23).

Noel Gallagher has subsequently announced that he is quitting Oasis.
