Andy Bell is set to return to the guitar for Liam Gallagher's post-Oasis band.
Bell was an acclaimed guitarist with former band Ride, but switched to bass when offered a berth in Oasis.
However Liam Gallagher has confirmed that he has recruited as an as-yet unnamed bass player for the new group which will feature Bell and guitarist Gem Archer.
Other members include members of Oasis live band, drummer Chris Sharrock and keyboard player Jay Darlington.
"It's me, it's Gem, and it's Andy," Gallagher told Sky News. "We've got a new bass player, and he's mega. We've got the old drummer, Chris Sharrock. We've got the old keyboard player [Jay Darlington]."
Gallagher again added that the band are struggling to come up with a name.
"We're sort of going through the mill abut getting new names," he said. "Nothing's sticking."
Asked if he had a message for Noel Gallagher, Liam replied: "Good luck mate. See you in the next world. Don't be late."
He added that the band are currently working on new material, saying: "We'll see what happens when the record's done. We're concentrating on the music at the moment."
