Oasis are still in the studio working on demos for their fifth studio album, and will possibly tour the UK in the new year.

Speaking to UK tabloid the Daily Star at yesterday's (October 31) Q Awards ceremony in London, guitarist Noel Gallagher said: "We are all back in the studio and have been recording demos, but after this live album I can't tell you what we'll be doing for sure.

"We're going to do a new record but I don't know when. And we are going to do some live gigs next year." Gallagher said the shows would be announced "on Monday", although a spokesperson for the band is currently unavailable to confirm or deny if this is true.

Gallagher continued: "We will be touring the UK. If you want to know where, you'll have to wait and see."

Speaking previously to NME.COM, vocalist Liam Gallagher declared the follow-up to 'Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants' will be recorded in just one week. He said: "I want to do it in a week. Sunday to Sunday. It takes ten minutes if you know what you're doing. If you spend two months doing it, it's rubbish...I'm double positive, I know what's going on."

Oasis release a live album on November 13 through Big Brother. Titled 'Familiar To Millions', it was recorded at the band's Wembley Stadium show in London on July 21.
