The spat between the former Oasis brothers looks set to roll on, with both parties taking to different media outlets to voice their side of the story.

It has emerged that Liam had been leaving his brother creepy messages following a spat about Liam's Pretty Green clothing range. Noel, talking to Mojo, said:

I would be getting up in the morning and our answering machine would have strange messages from him in the middle of the night. It started off as offensive, then weird, and finally creepy.

Noel said he would confront his brother about the messages but that he'd simply deny them saying, “I don't know what you're talking about.”

Today (July 26) Liam tweeted, “One Word. Dido” which many people have taken as a three-word review of his brother's debut solo single, 'The Death Of You And Me'.

Earlier this month the Beady Eye frontman posted the word "SHITBAG" on the day Noel announced his plans to release a solo album.

According to Noel, this behaviour is in keeping with his pre-breakup routine of harassing his sibling:

When we changed our number he started leaving messages on my girlfriend's phone. She'd get up in the morning and there would be things like, 'Tell your fucking boyfriend...'. This was insane.

'The Death Of You And Me' is taken from the album 'Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds', which is due for release on October 17.
