Former Oasis guitarist Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs has said that he would play in a reformed version of the band "for nothing".

Speaking earlier today (May 2) on XFM - via Music-News.com - Bonehead commented that if the band were to reform "I'd be there like a shot and I'd do it for nothing". However, when asked by Breakfast Show host Tim Cocker if he could see the band ever getting back together again, Bonehead said he couldn't answer the question. "I don't know! Don't ask me!" he stated. "Who knows, stranger things have happened. But I don't know. You're asking the wrong person for that. It'd be nice if they did wouldn't it?"

Last month Noel Gallagher joked he would reform Oasis for £500 million – or 500 million condoms. The singer made the comments when appearing on Talksport on April 28. Asked about the speculation over an Oasis reunion, Gallagher said: "I was in the newsagent the other day when the story broke and the Daily Star said, 'Oasis to get back together for £500 million', which is half a billion. I'd do it for half a billion anything: Yorkshire Tea bags, condoms, Pot Noodles."

Rumours of a Gallagher brothers reunion began to spread after Liam Gallagher tweeted the letters O A S I S and a further tweet which read "OASIS LG" on April 24. Bookmakers Paddy Power and Ladbrokes then suspended betting on the possibility of the band reforming and headlining Glastonbury.

However, Bonehead later told NME that Gallagher's tweets may have been posted simply because the former bandmates went out for a drink together. Asked what Gallagher's tweets could have meant, Bonehead said: "Probably the fact that I texted him going, ‘Meet me in the beer garden’. That probably rattled his cage. Maybe that. I don’t know though, because I meet him every fucking month. Maybe he’s just reminiscing."
