But you won't have to go far to find the new venue

Broken Social Scene upgrade London show

Canadian indie rockers Broken Social Scene haved moved their forthcoming London show to a bigger venue due to demand.

The band were due to play the Mean Fiddler on February 8, but will now play the Astoria next door. Tickets already issued remain valid.

Broken Social Scene’s eponymously titled third album is released in the UK on January 30, and has already been crowned album of the month in NME’s sister magazine Uncut.

The band are in London next week (December 19) to play a special City Slang Christmas party show at Cargo, which has been sold out for weeks.

The UK and Irish dates for 2006 are:
