Chelsea manager runs onto the pitch to knock pop singer over during charity game

Olly Murs was floored by Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho during a charity match at Old Trafford last night (June 8).

Murs was one of a number of celebrities playing for an England XI as part of the annual Soccer Aid charity event. In footage you can see above he was tackled by Mourinho, who was managing the Rest Of The World team. Despite the fact he should not have been on the pitch, the manager ran on and knocked the singer down.

Pop star Murs was one of a number of celebrities playing on the England side, with McBusted member Danny Jones appearing alongside Marvin Humes of JLS, comedian John Bishop and Paddy McGuinness. Event organiser Robbie Williams acted as the team's coach. They were joined by former professionals David Seaman, Kevin Phillips and Des Walker.

Meanwhile, the Rest of the World side included actors James McAvoy and Michael Sheen plus celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay. The game ended 4-2 to the Rest of The World with former Dutch international Clarence Seedorf scoring a second half hat-trick.

The game was screened live on television with ITV viewers pledging over £2 million to UNICEF. This figure will be matched by the UK Government pound for pound, bringing the total to £4.2 million so far.

Tweeting about the tackle after the game ended, Murs wrote: "Loving the fact Jose Mourinho smashed me from behind!"

Olly Murs last found himself on the floor two years ago when he slipped and fell down a set of stairs while covering Stevie Wonder's 'Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I'm Yours' at Guilfest 2012.
