It's the Brazilians' second-ever Stateside tour

Os Mutantes announce US dates
Os Mutantes have announced that they will play a handful of dates in the US this summer.

This is only the second time that the legendary Brazilians have ever performed on US soil.

Os Mutantes will kick things off in Chicago on July 11, and will then hit Los Angeles and San Francisco before playing their final night at the Lincoln Center Festival in New York on July 17.

The band are known for influencing musicians as diverse as David Byrne, Beck, and Kurt Cobain, who personally requested that the band to reunite to tour with Nirvana in 1993.

The tour dates are:

Chicago, IL Metro (July 11)
Los Angeles, CA El Rey Theatre (13)
San Francisco, CA Stern Grove Festival (15)
New York, NY Lincoln Center Festival (17)
