New Young Pony Club get the party started at Oxegen

Band whip up a frenzy in New Band Tent

New Young Pony Club played an energetic set in the New Band Tent in Oxegen this evening (July 8).

The dance five-piece put on a rousing display reeling off tracks from their debut album ‘Fantastic Playroom’.

Singer Tahita Bulmer, who was sporting a gold outfit with black tights, was on jovial form whipping the crowd into a frenzy for the likes of ‘Get Lucky’ , ‘Grey’ and their recent hit singles ’The Bomb’ and ’Ice Cream’.

As the rain poured outside the band launched into ‘The Bomb’ with Bulmer quipping: “This is not a song about standing in the mud. This is an exciting song about dancing and having fun.”

Later in the show, she complimented the crowd for their reception and told them: “Thanks for coming to see us by the way. We haven’t played here many times but we always get a good reception here. It is always cool."

New Young Pony Club played:

‘Get Lucky’
‘Hiding On The Staircase’
‘The Bomb’
‘Grey’
‘Ice Cream’
‘Tight Fit’
‘The Get Go’
