Irish festival kicks off near Dublin today (July 11)

Kings Of Leon, Interpol and Battles set for opening day of Oxegen

The first day of the Oxegen Festival is set to kick off today (July 11), featuring headliners Kings Of Leon, as well as Interpol and Battles.

Kings Of Leon and Interpol perform on the Main Stage at the festival, held at Punchestown Racecourse in County Kildare, while Battles perform in the Pet Sounds Arena.

Cat Power, Tricky and Aphex Twin will join them in the Pet Sounds Arena at the event.

Other acts set to play later today include The Rascals on the 2FM New Bands Stage, Sugababes and Amy MacDonald on the Main Stage and Bell X1 on the Green Room Stage.
