The track 'Cruel Winter' - is described as "devastatingly dark, brooding and intense"...

Chart topping garage duo Oxide & Neutrino have recorded the theme tune to a new cable TV show, set to air early in 2001.

The track, for youth show 'Cruel Winter' - set to launch on the Trouble channel on January 1 - is described as "devastatingly dark, brooding and intense". In the show, ten 18-22 year olds, nominated by friends and family for their annoying habits, are sent away to a secret location to reform themselves. Viewers have complete control over who stays, who goes and who gets punished.

In related news, Mac, Skat D and Face ofSo Solid Crew, the south London collective that spawnedOxide & Neutrino, have formed a spin-off group called MBD. The letters stand for Mad, Bad and Dangerous, though considering recent events that saw the So Solid Crew tour cancelled because of public safety fears, they told BBC Radio 1 it stood instead for Many Beautiful Days.
