Ozzy Osbourne has announced details of a new album.
’Black Rain’ will be released on May 22 and will be his first new material since 2001’s ’Down To Earth’.
Explaining the time between albums, he said: “I used to get frustrated with myself. I mean I thought that you had to get loaded to make songs.
"I just thought drugs and alcohol are probably the major inspiration of making music, which I truly believed that because I’d never made a record without using it. And I thought it was that, that was making me creative.”
The first single in the US is set to be ’I Don’t Wanna Stop’. A release date has yet to be announced.
The album is set to feature a band consisting of guitarist Zakk Wylde, drummer Mike Bordin and former Rob Zombie bassist Rob Nicholson.
Osbourne will headline Ozzfest which begins on July 12, reports Launch.
