Ozzy Osbourne will be honoured at the second annual Sunset Strip Music Festival, which is set to take place September 10-12 at various venues along the legendary Los Angeles boulevard.
The veteran rocker and Black Sabbath frontman will be recognised at a tribute event on September 10 that kicks off the three-day festival.
Event organisers have announced that this year's festival will include an outdoor component for the first time with the closure of a section of Sunset Boulevard on September 12 from 2:00-9:00pm.
Several live performances will take place at Sunset Strip venues including Cat Club, House of Blues, Key Club, The Roxy Theatre, Viper Room and Whisky A Go-Go. Saturday will feature a daytime street fest with multiple outdoor stage performances before the clubs open their doors for evening performances.
The 2009 lineup is expected to be announced in the coming weeks. Last year's participants included Juliette Lewis & the Licks, Hot Hot Heat, Soul Asylum and Slash.
