Ozzy Osbourne is set to host his own radio show in the United States.

Entitled Ozzy’s Boneyard, the show will launch later this year on SiriusXM and will see him playing tracks by his favourite classic metal and rock artists as well as sharing anecdotes and tales from his life and career. His wife Sharon and children Jack and Kelly are also set to feature on the show.

According to Contact Music, the rocker said: “After everything I've been through in my career I never imagined I'd end up with my own radio channel on SiriusXM. This is fucking amazing! Does this mean I can play whatever I want?"

Earlier this month it was announced that a reunited Black Sabbath will headline next summer's Download Festival on June 10, 2012.

The original line-up of the band - Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Bill Ward and Geezer Butler - announced their plans to reunite for new material and a world tour next year in Los Angeles and were joined by Rick Rubin, who is set to produce the band's new album, the first to come from the original line up since 1978's 'Never Say Die!'

"It was the obvious choice," explained Osbourne of Rubin as producer. "I've known Rick for many years." Osbourne went on to reveal that they've written "seven or eight" new songs for the album, which they plan to release in autumn 2012 after their Download show and before heading out on a world tour.

Butler added that the new songs are "back to the old Sabbath style and sound. The stuff that Tony's been playing is absolutely brilliant."
