Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne are reportedly living apart following financial strain placed on the couple by a huge tax bill.

Reports out today (April 15) suggest that the couple are living in separate homes and making "no effort" to see one another around their own hectic work schedules. Ozzy is currently gearing up to release a new album with Black Sabbath and will subsequently tour the world with the band. The Mirror reports that a £1.1m tax bill the couple received in 2012 is behind the couple's split and that he is currently staying in a rented mansion while Sharon Osbourne stays in a luxury hotel while their Beverly Hills home is being renovated. A source told the paper: "They have had plenty of chances to see each other, but don’t seem to have made any effort to do so."

Speaking about the financial situation the couple are reportedly facing, the same unnamed source said: "These were big bills, and it has been very difficult for both of them. As anyone who has watched them on TV will know, they’re no strangers to rows, but they’ve been under a lot of pressure recently. What makes things even harder for them is that they’ve both got huge work commitments for the rest of the year which stand in the way of them spending much time together." The source adds: "It’s a shame because they really need some quality time to sort things out."

Black Sabbath will tour the UK in December. The veteran rockers will play:
