P Diddy tops US Billboard Chart

P Diddy's first album in five years has shot straight to the top of the US Billboard chart.

The rapper claimed the top spot after shifting over 170,000 copies of 'Press Play' in the first week of its release.

It is the first time since his 1997 debut 'No Way Out' that Diddy has topped the charts in the US.

His previous two albums - 'The Saga Continues' and 'Forever' - both reached Number Two, reports Billboard.

'Press Play' features guest appearances from the likes of Christina Aguilera, Kanye West and Black Eyed Peas.

As previously reported on NME.COM, the rapper will be taking a band on the road for his first world tour in six years in early 2007.
