P Diddy plans 'peace' concert

P Diddy and Manchester United and England football star Rio Ferdinand are teaming up to put together a 'peace gig' to take place next year.

Both the celebrities represent campaigns to tackle gun and knife crimes in their home countries.

“I’ve been touched by gun crime personally, I’ve lost friends and I want to get the point across that the violence has to stop,” said Diddy of his plans, while Ferdinand added: “It’s so important to me to get the message across that there is no point in carrying a knife.”

The gig is expected to take place in 2008 at either London’s Wembley Arena or the O2 Dome, reports Yahoo News.
