Assault charges brought against P Diddy for allegedly assaulting a man at a New York nightclub have been dropped.
The rap star, whose real name is Sean Combs, was accused of punching a man in the face in a dispute over a woman last month.
Yesterday (November 6), prosecutors announced they would drop the charges because the accuser has not cooperated with law enforcement and gave conflicting accounts of the incident - therefore they have not been able to prove criminal charges beyond reasonable doubt.
P Diddy’s attorney, Benjamin Brafman, said he was pleased that no charges would be filed against his client.
"Both Mr. Combs and I are pleased that the DA's office and the police department conducted a very thorough investigation and came to this conclusion," Brafman told the Associated Press.
