Rapper was accused of punching the man at a party

P. Diddy has privately settled a court case which accused him of punching a man in Hollywood last year.

Gerard Rechnitzer claims he approached Diddy, real name Sean Combs, at the post-Oscars party at Teddy’s nightclub in the Roosevelt Hotel in February 2007 when the hip-hop impresario punched him, pushed his girlfriend and spat on another female partygoer.

However, the rapper claimed in court that “any contact was caused by his forward motion against my open hand”.

The terms of the settlement between Diddy and Rechnitzer were not disclosed in the court notes, BBC News reports.
