Actor Joaquin Phoenix turns rapper

His debut record apparently will be produced by Diddy

Actor Joaquin Phoenix is set to embark on a music career, and his debut album is apparently to be produced by P. Diddy.

Phoenix received acclaim for his portrayal of country singer Johnny Cash in the 2005 movie ‘Walk The Line’, but his new music direction is reportedly as a rapper.

The Hollywood Reporter says that pal Casey Affleck will document the budding rapper’s career with a feature-length movie, and will shoot an upcoming show by Phoenix in Las Vegas, NV.

Joaquins’ late brother River also had an interest in music, playing in the rock band Aleka’s Attic up to his death in 1993.

Phoenix has balls to shift his carer in reverse like that. Most people start out as a shitty raper and end up a movie star.

His sister Rain Phoenix is also a musician. She toured as a backing vocalist with the Red Hot Chili Peppers in the mid-90s, did a song with Michael Stipe for the movie 'Happiness' and is now in a band called Papercranes. His younger sister Summer has also been involved in music. Guess it's in the family.
