P Diddy has spoken out about his car crash this week, saying that it was a "close one".

The rapper's chauffeur-driven Cadillac Escalade collided with a Lexus outside the Beverly Hills hotel on Sunset Boulevard yesterday (October 24). Diddy's 4x4 was smashed in the incident, leaving the rapper lying hurt at the side of the road.

The rapper later Tweeted: "Woah...that was a close one!"

A statement from P Diddy read (via The Sun): "Sean Combs sustained multiple injuries in yesterday’s car accident including to his neck, ribs and collarbone."

It added: "He is currently receiving treatment for these injuries from his physicians and would like to thank all of his fans for the outpouring of support that he has received since the accident."

It is not yet known if Diddy's driver and fellow passenger, record boss Andre Hurrell, was hurt in the crash. The driver of the Lexus was treated at a nearby hospital for unspecified injusties.

Earlier this year it was revealed that Diddy will guest star in the new series of US sitcom It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia.
