Palma Violets have announced details of a new UK tour. Scroll down for ticket details.

The band will go on the self-described 'The Bog Tour' in April, playing dates mainly in Ireland and Scotland. Starting in Limerick on April 6, the band will visit Belfast, Dublin, Galway, Cork, Inverness, Stornoway, Aberdeen and Dundee before ending their jaunt on the 17th at Stockton's Georgian Theatre.

Bass player Chilli Jesson appears in this week's NME, which is on newsstands and available digitally now.

In an exclusive interview alongside Johnny Marr as part of NME's Heroes special, he opens up about the nature of the band's second album, saying: "It's getting there. We've got the songs and we know the sound we want. The songs are so much bigger than before. We're really experimenting with doing a lot more stuff on our own."

Palma Violets will play:

Limerick Dolans (April 6)
Belfast Voddo (7)
Dublin Workmans Club (8)
Galway The Roisin Dubh (9)
Cork Cypress Avenue (11)
