Paloma Faith has revealed she rejected an offer to be a judge on The Voice.

The London singer has told The Daily Star she turned down the offer to replace Jessie J on the BBC talent show.

"Yes they did offer me The Voice, but I didn’t feel it was right," confirmed Faith. “I don't like the idea of eliminating people because I don't feel confident enough about my own abilities to judge anybody else."

Meanwhile, the singer is now taking part in a new Samsung talent-finding programme called Launching People. The show will also feature actor Idris Elba, chef Gizzi Erskine and photographer Rankin, and is focused on finding new talents in film, music, photography and food.

"I don’t have to [eliminate people] with Samsung. This project is about celebrating someone's talent – whereas The Voice is about rejection and battles," Faith said of the new project.
