Panic! At The Disco are no more…

Panic! At The Disoc

Panic! At The Disoc

There's no point exclaiming about it

Panic At The Disco are no more the band confirmed yesterday (January 10) – from now on they want to be the exclamation free Panic At The Disco.

The band dropped their punctuations from their name – inspired by The Smiths track ’Panic’ – as they launched their Honda Civic Tour, which will hit the US from April 10.

The band, who release second album ’Pretty. Odd’ on March 24, will play the 45-date tour after talking to last year’s headliners and friends , who headlined year, on how to make this year's tour even better,” declared singer Brendon Urie. “Those guys set the bar pretty high, but we are really looking forward to hitting the road again and are definitely up for the challenge."

I'll be honest, quite alot of people including myself wouldn't really notice the lack of exclamation mark and it hardly makes a difference.forward russia should follow suit though as alot of people still think they're iForward Russia!

Is it just me or they trying to give themselves some much needed hype?

"Everyone look! We have no !"

"Thats nice..." *sigh*

I'm a bit upset, I thought they'd split up and stopped polluting the earth with their bilge.

would people stop saying they got their name from "the smiths" - they got their name from a line in a song by the band "name taken" called "panic" - http://www.sing365.com/music/lyric.nsf/Panic-lyrics-Name-Taken/B2E44E266E88006348256E8C002974CF

I'm a big P!ATD fan, but agree this seems an utterly pointless announcement. I too smell a publicity stunt.

I actually whooped with happiness at the prospect of no more panic at the disco contaminating my radio/tv. My little cousin is obsessed and would be thoroughly gutted. But to my disappointment, when clicking on the article, finding they have not split, i actually let out the most annoyed and angry growl, that my dog ran out the room. When is the joyous day going to come when they split? Yes they have made money for the music industry and yes they have fans...but there is plenty of other amazing music out there that they can enjoy.

Crap, now that they have honda money there will be no stopping them, they truly are worst than a boyband.

Well, something must be wrong with you people if you don't think that that one little exlamation point is making a difference. Have you seen their websites lately?? Especially their myspace?? EVERYONE IS DEMANDINC BACK THE ! IN THE NAME!!

this just exaggerates their irrelevance to good music!

Why stop at the exclamation mark, why don't they drop the whole name. In fact, just stop making their shitty so called 'music' and split up.

well i really love panic!... or is it just panic now? sigh... the exclamation point was fun, but did it really require a press release?

I dont really see the point of keeping it or removing it
im not a huge fan but they have some good songs
i really dont care about a exclamation mark though it doesnt affect the quality of the band
its just pointless
