Panic At The Disco to perform at 'Rock Band 2' charity benefit

Panic! At The Disco and Plain White T's are set to headline a public benefit concert in Los Angeles this weekend to help to promote AIDS awareness.

The 'Rock Band 2 Party to Benefit LIFEbeat' will take place Saturday (September 6) at the Los Angeles House of Blues, and is part of the festivities surrounding the MTV Video Music Awards taking place in the city on Sunday.

Attendees will also have the chance to play Rock Band 2 before it hits shops later this year.

Proceeds from the event will go toward LIFEbeat, a non-profit organisation dedicated to reaching America's youth with the message of HIV/AIDS prevention using the resources of the music industry.

Tickets for the all-ages event can be purchased for $50 via Ticketmaster.
