Panic! At The Disco's Brendon Urie breaks his ankle onstage in Florida – video

Panic! At The Disco frontman Brendon Urie has broken his ankle, after damaging it during a gig in Pompano Beach, Florida on Saturday (May 29).

A fan video shows the singer taking off his shoe to show the crowd his ankle, which is severely swollen. He is thought to have sustained the injury when climbing back onto the stage after entering the crowd. Check out the video and Brendon's achy ankle at the bottom of the page.

The singer spoke to the crowd to tell them of his injury and that he would have to perform with one bare foot, but vowed to continue the performance at the city's Pompano Beach Ampitheatre venue.

Urie later tweeted a picture via his account Twitter.com/brendonuriesays which showed his ankle heavily bandaged and held aloft in a hospital bed. He also wrote: "Sleeping like this tonight. And it's all my fault."

Panic! At The Disco have not said whether any of their forthcoming tour dates will be affected. They are currently playing in support of their third studio album, 'Vices And Virtues', which was released earlier this year.

They return to the UK in August to play Reading and Leeds Festivals.
