Paolo Nutini 'disappointed With US Tour'

Singer reveals that 'it's not been massive'

Paolo Nutini has just returned back from his tour of the US, but has admitted it didn't quite go as well as he anticipated.

The Paisley singer who scored a Number One album earlier this year with 'Sunny Side Up', revealed how he's not had the same levels of success in the States.

"It's not been massive. It's been steady," Nutini told The Sun. "It's not always easy. The tour has not been on the back of some massive record label campaign."

Partly blaming the backing the album got from his label, Nutini explained how it compared to the release of his debut album 2006's 'These Streets'.

He said: "The label seem a lot more hesitant to put everything behind this as opposed to the last one. The recession perhaps has given them the hesitation."

Nutini releases his next single 'Pencil Full Of Lead' on October 26.

Are you guys for real?No major record label deal??... Atlantic Records don't seem to be struggling. Can't see why anyone likes him in this country? No.1 selling album perhaps?! And even more to the point, an album not filled with teenybpping tripe that radio 1 put on repeat all day.Gazhat.. you seem bitter my friend.. Is that because Paolo's such a "twat" because he was praised by Ahmet Ertegun for being the most exciting and soulful signing artist they'd recently signed for his debut? Interesting. Go put lady gaga back on.

Gutted for him, well he was well appreciated in England :) Loved his gig at Hammersmith Apollo, American's often don't always appreciate music that goes off the beaten track. To be honest nemoson, gazhat and hness don't be arseholes about music you don't appreciate and I won't be an arsehole about Lady Gaga or Mcfly or whatever music you like

im just being honest...i DONT KNOW ANYONE WHO LIKES HIS MUSIC. I saw him on tv all stooped and spouting gibberish into the mic about "new shoes" and just assumed he was a plucky roadie, and a rather pissed one at that.
