NOT A DICK ANYMORE!

Jacoby Shaddix says he changed his name because he was fed up of being referred to as 'Dick' in the press...

Papa Roach’s frontman has revealed that he changed his name because he was fed up of being referred to as ‘DICK’ in NME.

So Coby Dick reverted to his real name – Jacoby Shaddix. Shaddix revealed to NME: "Whenever I used to read the press it was always like 'Dick says...'. I think I've got a pretty cool fucking name – Jacoby Shaddix. It's like, there's so many different personalities living inside of me. There's Coby Dick, there's Jacoby Shaddix, there's Johnny Vodka, there's Manuel Relize aka Manual Release, Masturbation, the Artist Formerly Known As Dick.

"The person who I really am is Jacoby Shaddix and I really feel that I expose myself on stage so that's who I am. Dude, P.Diddy did it! He changed his name, why can't I? Therefore I am hip-hop!"

Papa Roach release their second album ‘LoveHateTragedy’ on June 17. NME has heard the album and can reveal that Papa Roach have gone punk rock, dropping any element of rap-metal from their music. The single ‘She Loves Me Not’ is out on June 10. The band play a one-off gig at London’s Mean Fiddler on May 18.
