Coby Dick tells NME.COM that covering a track by the band is a "brave step"...

A FAITH NO MORE tribute album is in the pipeline, and PAPA ROACH singer COBY DICK has told NME.COM they are to contribute a track to the record.

Speaking backstage following the band's performance at the NME Carling Awards show with (Hed) pe and Apartment 26 on Monday night (January 29), Dick revealed they are considering recording the track 'The Gentle Art Of Making Enemies', which now forms part of their regular live set to the album. The track appeared on Faith No More's 1995 album 'King For A Day, Fool For A Lifetime'. However, they have not yet confirmed which song they will donate.

He said: "We just started doing that (song live). (Faith No More's) manager has informed somebody in our camp that there was gong to be a tribute album, and we were like, 'Tribute?'. I'm not completely sure that's the track we want to do.

"The thing about Faith No More is if you try to give some of your style to it, is it disrespecting it, or is that what you're supposed to do? We're at the stage of wondering if we should play it just like they did or maybe add something that we have. I'm not sure."

Dick said that covering Faith No More is a "brave step" because their reputation makes them "a band you can't fuck with".

When asked what other bands had been approached, Dick was unwilling to name any particular band, but said that "all the bands that are out there now rocking" have been approached to record a song each. He continued: "They've got all the bands together, and each band is going to do one cover."
