NEW ROACH MATERIAL!

Singer Coby Dick describes the new material as "heavy, very melodic and exciting"...

PAPA ROACH have told NME.COM they plan to release their new album in July 2002.

Speaking to NME.COM, singer Coby Dick said the band will commence final recording sessions for the follow-up to their 'Infest' album in December.

He said: "We've got a studio on the back of the bus. We have a batch of new stuff and go into the studio in December. (The new material) is heavy, very melodic and exciting."

According to Rolling Stone, the album will be produced by Brendan O'Brien, who has previously worked with Rage Against The Machineand Pearl Jam.

Drummer Dave Buckner said: "We're really excited. When we thought about who we wanted to do the next record, we tossed a couple names back and forth, but he was the one that we really were kind of stoked on. He's done a lot of the records we really enjoy, and he gets really hands-on and really involved, whether it's coming up with a supplement to a part or helping to rearrange."
