Paramore play 'riotous' Download Festival set

Paramore played Download Festival 2007 this evening (June 8).

The band opened with an extended version of current single ’Misery Business’, then after second song ’Emergency’ singer Hayley Williams belatedly told the crowd to get ready for their set.

“Donington! How are you feeling? You look absolutely gorgeous," she declared. "If you’ve stumbled on this tent by accident, we’re Paramore from the United States!”

The group then played a selection of songs from their new album ’Riot!’ including ’Hallelujah’, and ’For A Pessimist, I’m Pretty Optimistic’ which Williams introduced by explaining: “This song is about when you feel let down by certain people. I’m going to dedicate it to a certain magazine. I’m not going to say which one.”
