Paramore win Best International Band at Shockwaves NME Awards

Band win gong ahead of Green Day and Kings Of Leon

Paramore have been crowned Best International Band at the Shockwaves NME Awards ahead of Green Day and Kings Of Leon[/]a, who were also nominated.

[a]Vampire Weekend and Yeah Yeah Yeahs were also up for the honour, with presenters Rick Edwards and Miquita Oliver announcing the winners.

The band couldn't be in London to pick up the award, announced at the O2 Brixton Academy in London tonight (February 24).

"Thank you so much, we want to thank all of you who voted on NME.COM," they said in a video message played at the ceremony, which you can now watch on the right.
