Ex-Paramore guitarist Josh Farro has slammed singer Hayley Williams in a blog.

There was initially confusion about the authenticity of the blog,, with Paramore's UK spokesperson saying they thought it was a hoax when it was posted on Tuesday (December 21). However, it has since been verified as real by Josh Farro's wife at

Josh Farro wrote that he felt compelled to go public as he "did not think Hayley's [Williams] version [of the reasons he and brother Zac left] told the whole story".

In the statement he alleged that Williams is the only member of Paramore who is signed to their record label. "It was suggested that we were hired guns and Hayley was the real artist," he wrote, "when in reality we were also part of the band. We've always been treated as less important than Hayley."

He went onto write that he believes Williams is being manipulated by her management, writes blasphemous lyrics and makes false statements about the band's unity.

Paramore's spokesperson has told NME that the band will not be commenting on the accusations. Read the full blog at

Farro's depature, alongside his drummer brother Zac Farro, was announced on December 18.
