Paramore this week cancelled two consecutive shows on their US Monumentour with Fall Out Boy.

The group's performances in Dallas and Corpus Christi, Texas, on August 4 and 5 were pulled due to frontwoman Hayley Williams' chest infection and exhaustion. The band say they will be back on the road today (August 7) and there are no plans to cancel their slots at Reading and Leeds Festivals later this month.

Posting to the band's official website, Williams said: “Writing from my bunk to let you know that my doctor and my vocal coach have told me I can't play tonight either. I have a chest infection and… Something called 'exhaustion'. Ha."

She added: "Words in this tiny little message cannot begin to express my frustration, sadness, and overall loopiness (the latter is likely just from the cortisone and antibiotics...ugh.)"

Paramore co-headline Reading and Leeds 2014 with Queens Of The Stone Age. Queens Of The Stone Age have said that sharing the headline slot will push both bands to play even better. Speaking to NME, keyboard player/guitarist Dean Fertita said: "I think everybody’s competitive to a degree. It’s good competition. To have another band you can watch that inspires you to play even better just to try and one-up them is a good thing! It’s great for the audience and great for everybody."
