New album 'Reverence' is out May 4.

Parkway Drive have released a new single and video for ‘Prey’ today (April 24).

The track follows ‘Wishing Wells’ and ‘The Void’ and features an epic performance video.

‘Reverence’ is the follow-up to 2015’s ‘Ire’, and the band describe it as some of their ‘most devastating songs yet’.

The new album was shaped by a number of tragedies experienced by band members in recent years, including the untimely death of two loved ones.

“We took stock of what we had and realised what actually mattered,” explains frontman Winston McCall in a press release.

“What we went through was horrendous. I hope ‘Reverence’ is the kind of album that redefines what people expect of us, in the sense that you can now expect the unexpected.

  5. The Void
  6. I Hope You Rot

NME recently listed Parkway Drive as one of the bands shaping the future of heavy music, saying: “You’d be hard pressed to find a better representation of heavy music’s future glory”.

Catch Parkway Drive live in the UK this summer – they’ll be performing at Download in Donnington Park between 8-10 June, along with Avenged Sevenfold, Guns N’ Roses and Ozzy Osbourne.
